Melanie Thompson

Melanie is a human trafficking survivor and anti-human trafficking specialist of 15 years leveraging a prolific record of public speaking including before the United Nations, numerous legislatures, and parliaments. She serves as the Chief Advocacy & Outreach Officer for Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, a Subject Matter Expert, a Survivor Leader, a Consultant , and an activist. Melanie is passionate about advocacy and thought leadership when pioneering equitable solutions effective in combatting human trafficking and other forms of gender-based violence. She is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and advocate for changes to the foster care and justice systems, racial inequality, and social services.  Melanie:
